Washington Mardi Gras [WMG] is the largest gathering of Louisiana business professionals, elected leaders, and government officials in our nation’s capital. Thousands participate each year to network for business purposes and celebrate the opening of the Mardi Gras season. It is an affair rich in social interaction and relationship building among Louisiana’s finest leaders.
In 2023, the GNO, Inc. NextGen Council and The Magnolia Companies of Louisiana will lead a new initiative during WMG week: Louisiana YPs Engage! to engage young WMG patrons and attract more Louisiana young professionals to the annual event.
The exclusive series of events is open to only 150 young professional registrants, special guests, and sponsors. Registration is $100 per person, and includes full access to the following:
Marathon Masque: A masked event on January 25th, 7:00 - 10:00 PM, at Union Stage @ The Wharf, 740 Water Street SW, Washington D.C. Join to meet and connect with Washington Mardi Gras participants from across Louisiana, dance the night away to the hits of NOLA's DJ Raj Smoove, sample bites from Jambalaya Girl, WOW, & more, and enjoy a few beverages on us! Masks and masquerade wear are essential!
Louisiana Young Professionals Federal Briefing: The premier event of the series on January 26th , 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM, at the Washington Hilton, 1919 Connecticut Ave NW, Washington D.C. Attendees will network, enjoy a complimentary lunch, and hear from federal officials on Louisiana's key federal priorities.
WMG Survival Kit : A necessary toolkit designed to help you navigate and survive the hustle and bustle of Washington Mardi Gras, and return home to beautiful Louisiana informed and ready to leverage all your new Louisiana connections!

Activities are a collection of independent events facilitated by a number of business and government organizations, with most events occurring at the Washington Hilton Hotel.
